Framed by jammy sweet red fruit from Wahluke Slope Cabernet, the 2009 is rounded out with Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot from Olsen Brothers in the Yakima Valley. A touch of Cabernet from Red Mountain brings structure and length to the mid palate. Drink now through 2016. Suggested Pairing

50% Wahluke Slope - Milbrandt Vineyards
40% Yakima Valley - Olsen Brothers Vineyards
10% Red Mountain - Kiona Vineyards

Grapes were destemmed and slightly crushed, 20% of the lots were fermented with indigenous yeast. Combination of pumpovers and punchdowns for a period of 8-17 days depending on lots. Aged for 18 months in 70% French oak, 30% new. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.5% Merlot, 7.5% Petit Verdot.
